We welcome new members whether seasoned golfers or newcomers to the game. It is easy to join and there is currently no waiting list. As a member of our friendly club, you will have access to our beautifully maintained course, playable all year round and renowned for its challenging layout and stunning views. Various membership options are available to suit all lifestyles, and a monthly payment plan is available.
Beyond the golfing experience, membership provides a sense of belonging to a community that cherishes its rich heritage as the oldest links golf course in Somerset. The club's welcoming atmosphere fosters camaraderie among members, creating lasting friendships and networking opportunities.

Playing Membership Benefits
- Full Social Membership giving access to the clubhouse 7 days per week.
- Access to the course in accordance with your membership type.
- We’ll find people for you to play with if required.
- Access to competitions and other golfing events (competition entry fees applicable).
- Ability to book tee times up to 14 days in advance.
- Preferential green fees for up to 3 guests at any one time. (any one guest up to 6 times per year)
- Handicap Index administration (World Handicapping System).
- A bar card (pre-loading required) giving a 10% discount on food and drink from the Bar.
- Opportunity to attend social events throughout the year.

Other Important Information
- No Joining Fees
- The Membership Subscription year runs for one year form the date of joining
- Age related memberships are based on age at the date of joining
- Country Memberships are based on travel time from permanent home address to MWSGC according to Google Maps
* Country Zone 1 - 40 to 64 minutes
** Country Zone 2 - 65 to 120 minutes
*** Far Country over 120 minutes from the Club
- National and County Union Affiliation Fees are added to your subscription at the prevailing rate.
- Payment by monthly installment plan is available for most categories (subject to application)
- * Lifestyle Membership Green Fees payable may change on 1st January with Green Fee review
Membership Term and Conditions
1. (a) Membership of the Company shall be open to anyone interested in the sport of golf regardless of age, sex, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religious or other beliefs provided that the directors may impose limitations upon membership numbers on a non-discriminatory basis having regard to available facilities.
(b) The Club may have different classes of membership and subscription on a non-discriminatory and fair basis as decided by the directors.
(c) The directors may refuse membership only for good cause such as conduct or character likely to bring the Club or the sport of golf into disrepute.
(d) A member of the Company may only be an individual and not a body corporate or a partnership.
(e) Save for the members of Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club at the date of, and who are admitted as members of the Company in accordance with the terms of, the Acquisition no person shall thereafter become a member of the Company unless that person has completed an application for membership in a form approved by the directors and such application has been approved by the directors or by such other person(s) to whom the directors shall have delegated such power of approval. Membership of the Company may be offered in different categories as determined from time to time in accordance with the Articles. All members shall be entitled to receive notice of general meetings of the Company. The members in general meeting shall determine which classes of members shall be voting members .
